Jutta Hoffmann (born 3.3.1941): Jutta Hoffmann was one of the most popular actresses in the GDR. Just like the film women she embodied on several occasions, she maintained a balance between self-confidence and heteronomy, between individual spirit of contradiction and social conformity. Jutta Hoffmann played her first major and important leading role in KARLA (1965-1990) by Herrmann Zschoche. She also appeared in several films that were banned after the 11th Plenum of the Central Committee of the SED.
